Book of Me 2: pages 30 & 31

Welcome to the eighth lesson in this 18 part Book of Me Album Class. Remember I am only an email away.

My Collections (pages 30 & 31)

This lesson we are going to look at the things you collect now and those you collected as a child.  Try to include as many photographs as possible and describe what it was/is like to be a collector of whatever it is that of the item/s.  Most of us collected stamps, rocks, soaps, erasers, spoons, postcards or something like that as children.  Think about how your collection/s have altered your life, ie do you have to have a room or cabinet specially set aside for you collection/s.  I have a friend with a whole room devoted to her dolls and their houses.  I know other women with specially made cabinets to keep their prized spoons safe from the elements.  Go ahead admit what you do and have collected and celebrate this part of who you are.

Tips and Hints for completing your book:
* Keep collecting/copying every photograph with you in it
* Don’t have any or many photographs of yourself….Take some! Take lots!
* Get a notebook or cheap exercise book and write down anything about yourself as it comes to you
* Use stuff you love (scrapbooking supplies)
* This is a good opportunity to use up your stash
* You could use your favourite colour scheme
* Try something different or experiment on every page and use this as a way to build your scrapbooking techniques
* Use your own handwriting as much as possible
* Scraplift if you want to
* Be honest
* Use your own style of scrapbooking or try something a bit different
* Do the pages as simple or as elaborate as you choose
* Use hidden journaling to conceal sensitive or personal information

REMEMBER: This is your book about yourself and that means you get to do it how you want!
