{"id":14,"date":"2008-03-10T03:39:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-10T03:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scrapgabbie2.wordpress.com\/2008\/03\/10\/10\/"},"modified":"2008-12-27T10:32:07","modified_gmt":"2008-12-27T00:32:07","slug":"10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scrapbookfantasies.com.au\/bookofme\/?p=14","title":{"rendered":"Book of Me 1: pages 26 &#038; 27"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size:130%;\"><strong>My Family<\/strong> (pages 26 &amp; 27) <\/span><\/p>\n<div>**This is a double page layout**<\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<em>You must include journaling and at least one photograph on each page, although the more you include the better.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:130%;\">This week we look at our Family that we have now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This could be your immediate family, your extended family or your surrogate family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions<br \/>\n<\/strong>Write a short sentence\/paragraph (or a long one) about each person in your family and what they mean to and bring to your family.<br \/>\nIf you belong to an extended family don\u2019t forget to include everyone, or at least a group photograph.<br \/>\nThis is your family now, not your family when you were growing up.<br \/>\nIf you are part of a blended family don\u2019t forget to discuss this aspect of life and how it shapes your family (you may choose to use hidden journaling for this one).<br \/>\nIf you don\u2019t have a photograph of someone try not to exclude them, simply write about them anyway.<br \/>\nIf you only want to include the family that live under the same roof as you, that is fine too.<br \/>\nIf you don\u2019t have a family photograph this is another good opportunity to take one, and don\u2019t forget to use the camera self-timer so that your are in the picture too.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Journaling Help<\/strong><br \/>\nA lot of you have been asking how to write your journaling. The best advice I can give is to write about the page what you would tell someone about the theme, question or photographs. Sometimes I imagine what I would say about the page to someone and then that discussion\/dialogue becomes my journaling. (It\u2019s a good idea to do this in your head or on your own \u2013 we don\u2019t want people thinking we\u2019re going mad!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips and Hints for completing your book:<br \/>\n<\/strong>* Keep collecting\/copying every photograph with you in it<br \/>\n* Don\u2019t have any or many photographs of yourself\u2026.Take some! Take lots!<br \/>\n* Get a notebook or cheap exercise book and write down anything about yourself as it comes to you<br \/>\n* Use stuff you love (scrapbooking supplies)<br \/>\n* This is a good opportunity to use up your stash<br \/>\n* You could use your favourite colour scheme<br \/>\n* Try something different on every page<br \/>\n* Experiment on every page<br \/>\n* Use your own handwriting<br \/>\n* Scraplift if all if you want<br \/>\n* Be honest<br \/>\n* Use your own style of scrapbooking or try something a bit different<br \/>\n* Do the pages as simple or as elaborate as you choose<br \/>\n* Use hidden journaling to conceal sensitive or personal information<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:130%;\">REMEMBER: This is your book about yourself and that means you get to do it how you want!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:85%;\">Copyright Alicia Redshaw 2008-<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My Family (pages 26 &amp; 27) **This is a double page layout** \u00a0You must include journaling and at least one photograph on each page, although the more you include the better.
