Book of Me 1: pages 26 & 27

My Family (pages 26 & 27)

**This is a double page layout**

 You must include journaling and at least one photograph on each page, although the more you include the better.

This week we look at our Family that we have now.

This could be your immediate family, your extended family or your surrogate family.

Instructions
Write a short sentence/paragraph (or a long one) about each person in your family and what they mean to and bring to your family.
If you belong to an extended family don’t forget to include everyone, or at least a group photograph.
This is your family now, not your family when you were growing up.
If you are part of a blended family don’t forget to discuss this aspect of life and how it shapes your family (you may choose to use hidden journaling for this one).
If you don’t have a photograph of someone try not to exclude them, simply write about them anyway.
If you only want to include the family that live under the same roof as you, that is fine too.
If you don’t have a family photograph this is another good opportunity to take one, and don’t forget to use the camera self-timer so that your are in the picture too.

Journaling Help
A lot of you have been asking how to write your journaling. The best advice I can give is to write about the page what you would tell someone about the theme, question or photographs. Sometimes I imagine what I would say about the page to someone and then that discussion/dialogue becomes my journaling. (It’s a good idea to do this in your head or on your own – we don’t want people thinking we’re going mad!)

Tips and Hints for completing your book:
* Keep collecting/copying every photograph with you in it
* Don’t have any or many photographs of yourself….Take some! Take lots!
* Get a notebook or cheap exercise book and write down anything about yourself as it comes to you
* Use stuff you love (scrapbooking supplies)
* This is a good opportunity to use up your stash
* You could use your favourite colour scheme
* Try something different on every page
* Experiment on every page
* Use your own handwriting
* Scraplift if all if you want
* Be honest
* Use your own style of scrapbooking or try something a bit different
* Do the pages as simple or as elaborate as you choose
* Use hidden journaling to conceal sensitive or personal information

REMEMBER: This is your book about yourself and that means you get to do it how you want!
